Lempeng Bumi

Di bumi ini ada 7 lempeng yang besar yaitu Pacific, North America, South America,  African, Eurasian (lempeng dimana Indonesia berada), Australian, dan Antartica. Di samping ke-7 lempeng besar tersebut ada juga lempeng bumi yang ukurannya lebih kecil seperti: Lempeng Arab, Nazca, Filipina, Loco, dan Karihja. 

Di bawah  lempeng-lempeng tersebut ada arus yang disebut dengan arus konveksi dan astenosphere (lapisan dalam dari  lempeng) dan menjadi bagian yang terpanaskan oleh peluruhan radioaktif seperti Uranium,  Thorium, dan Potasium. Bagian yang terpanaskan inilah yang menjadi sumber dari lava  yang sering kita lihat di gunung berapi dan juga sumber dari material yang keluar di  pematang tengah samudera dan membentuk lantai samudera yang baru.

Magma ini terus  keluar keatas di pematang tengah samudera dan menghasilkan aliran magma yang  mengalir kedua arah berbeda dan menghasilkan kekuatan yang mampu membelah  pematang tengah samudera. Pada saat lantai samudera tersebut terbelah, retakan terjadi di  tengah pematang dan magma yang meleleh mampu keluar dan membentuk lantai  samudera yang baru.

Kemudian lantai samudera tersebut bergerak menjauh dari pematang tengah samudera  sampai dimana akhirnya bertemu dengan lempeng kontinen dan akan menyusup ke dalam  karena berat jenisnya yang umumnya berkomposisi lebih berat dari berat jenis lempeng  kontinen. Penyusupan lempeng samudera kedalam lempeng benua inilah yang  menghasilkan subduksi (penunjaman), seperti antara lempeng Indo-Australia yang menunjam ke lempeng Eurasia, atau saling tarik menarik (divergensi), atau saling bergeser.

Daerah penunjaman dua lempeng bumi inilah yang disebut dengan zona subduksi atau penunjaman dan akhirnya lithosphere akan kembali  menyusup ke bawah astenosphere dan terpanaskan lagi. Kejadian ini berlangsung secara  terus-menerus.

Thermometer is a temperature measuring instrument or the instrument used to measure the temperature. The temperature units usually used are Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Reamur. In international system,Kelvin is used as the standard temperature unit.

Based on the utilization, there are some types of thermometer, namely room, body, laboratory, and maximumminimum thermometers.

Laboratory thermometer
Laboratory thermometer is usually utilized to measure high accuracy temperature.scale of this thermometer is usually forming 0 until 110 degrees
celcius.

Clinical thermometer
Clinical thermometer is usually used for measuring body temperature when a person is feeling fever so that usually called fever thermometer. This thermometer has range from 35 until 42 degrees celcius.

Room thermometer
Room thermometer is usually used for knowing room temperature. Temperature usually shown is from -30 until 50 degrees celcius.

Maximum-minimum thermometer
Maximum-minimum thermometer is special thermometer to understand the least temperature and highest temperature in one day or in certain period.
